Second child problems mean monthly updates don’t always happen. But since it’s her half birthday, I had to make sure to do this! (Part of blogging for me is like having a digital baby book. It’s so nice having a place to go back to look at memories. Click here to see Braxton’s 6 month update.)
Kaley’s 6 month update:
- Refusing bottles. She will only nurse. (Braxton did this too.)
- Tried food for the first time. She loves avocado, not a fan of bananas. (I use our Ninja blender to mix half an avocado with breastmilk. Or I mash a banana up. Only using “real” food this time around, and trying my own version of baby led weaning.)
- Starting to sit up!
- Wearing 6-9 month clothing.
- Loves watching big brother play. He can always calm her down.
- Loves her sit me up chair and jumper. Not a fan of laying flat or her swing anymore.
- Takes 3 naps a day.
- No teeth…yet.
Me (and the rest of the family’s) 6 month update:
- Starting to feel back to normal now and beginning to work out again.
- Braxton has adjusted well, and we have refocused on completely potty training again. (He regressed at one point.)
- We are getting back to a regular schedule and routine.
- Braxton will be starting preschool soon!
- We are almost done remodeling the playroom. The master bathroom/closet is our next project!
No trips planned yet, but trying to pin down a date for our Disney trip so we can officially start planning. We are looking at January/February of 2021. (For those of you planning as well, we wanted to go during this time because it’s less crowded and the weather is great. March is usually crowded due to spring break, April-May can be iffy due to rain, and then June-August it’s brutally hot and crowded. September is usually ok for crowds, but still somewhat hot, and then October-December it depends on if you are trying to go during the Holiday’s for crowds.) Stay tuned for more on this!
Going to get back to regular posting, and trying to do more meal planning/working out postings for ya’ll!
Our deepest sympathies for Brittani and the whole Leach family. We love you, and our hearts and prayers are with you during this time.
