I figured I’d incorporate what a typical day looks like for us, along with Kaley’s 8 month update since her schedule has changed! So here it goes:
- 5:30am: Blair leaves for work.
- 6:30-7:00am: I get up and drink some coffee. (My own homemade Iced Coffee with a splash of Almond Milk.) And get myself ready for the day.
- 7:30am: Kaley wakes up and eats her breakfast. (Stoneyfield Baby Yogurt)
- 8:00am: Braxton wakes up and eats his breakfast.
- 9:00am: Kaley nurses and goes down for her first nap. She usually naps for 1.5 to 2 hours.
- 9:00-10:30am: While Kaley naps, Braxton plays in his playroom while I workout, and put up dishes/laundry.
- 11:00am: Kaley and Braxton eat lunch. I usually eat their scraps. (Kaley also nurses during this time.)
- 11:30-2:00pm: We either run errands, go to the playground, or have a playdate with friends.
- 2:30pm: Kaley nurses and takes her second (and last) nap. She usually naps 1- 1.5 hours. While she is napping, Braxton usually self plays while I clean the house, or he helps me.
- 5:00pm: Blair gets home from work. We either go on a family walk, or Blair takes Braxton outside to play while I get dinner ready.
- 6:00pm: We eat dinner.
- 6:45pm: Both kids get a bath.
- 7:30pm: Kaley nurses and goes to sleep for the night. Once she is asleep, we watch a movie together and usually have a snack.
- 8:30pm: Braxton cleans up his toys, brushes his teeth and says his prayers before going to bed.
- 9:00-11:30pm: Blair goes to bed early as well. I usually stay up, shower, write and work.
- 2:30am: Kaley wakes up to nurse. She only wakes up usually once during the night and goes back to sleep after nursing.
Kaley has been changing so much lately. She is sitting up completely on her own without falling over. She got her two bottom middle teeth, and she says mama, dada, and knows her name. I am so torn between being excited for her to get bigger to be able to play with her brother, and being sad about her growing out of the baby stage since she will be our last baby. Braxton has been adjusting to our new schedule and new “normal” daily life, and I finally feel like I have my feet under me again!
