Like most kids, my son has grown attached to his iPad and watching movies and tv shows. We have been trying to find other means of “entertainment” for him to limit his screen time, and that has led us to podcasts! Braxton was so excited to be able to listen to stories, but we wanted them to also be educational. Hence our introduction to The Adventures of Cairo!
The Adventures of Cairo is about a 7 year old boy and his family, and the lessons he learns in his everyday life. Cairo has an older brother, a mom and a dad, and it’s easy to relate to his family. (Which makes it easy to get into!) It’s very family friendly while also keeping kids entertained.
There are new episodes released every Tuesday and we have loved each one so far! Cairo learns life lessons that everyone can relate to and learn from. In the first episode, Cairo learns the value of a dollar and I love how he is able to make “mistakes” and yet his parents let him learn and grow from them. He goes on to learn about being himself. giving to others and why lying is harmful in other episodes as well as much more!
This is a podcast that the whole family can listen to together! The Adventures of Cairo would also be great to listen to during road trips or at bedtime.
