My boy is 10 months old. In my head that means he’s almost a year old. It has been the fastest 10 months of my life! Looking back at pictures from when he was born until now is so bittersweet. My baby has changed so much. His appearance, his personality and his abilities change daily. And sadly he’s looking more and more like a toddler then my baby boy. I’m not sure I’m ready for that!

(I love how much my boy loves his mama!)

Braxton’s Past Month:

  • Got his middle 2 top teeth. He now has 4 teeth! (And it looks like he’ll have a gap inbetween his top middle teeth. I give Blair a hard time because he definitely got that from his side.)
  • Wears 12-18 month clothing!
  • Says mama and dada all the time now.
  • Pulls up on all furniture and can now open all the cabinets.
  • Favorite toys are still his tsum tsums, but also loves his helicopter toy and soccer ball.
  • LOVES his dockatot and now only wakes up 2-3 times a night. His sleep is continuing to improve and he naps in his crib now. (With the dockatot.) He still takes 2 naps a day.
  • His first time being sick.
  • Drinking from a straw now! (Sort of.)
  • Giving big hugs and trying to give kisses!
  • Bites everything and everyone…

(Love that I can get stuff done during the day now while my little guy sleeps in his own room! I’ve also learned that he is a side sleeper like his dad.)

(Papa Bear and Man Cub wearing their Valentine’s Day presents. Love getting out on the weekends with my little family!)

My Update:

I have so much more energy now that Braxton is sleeping better! It has completely changed things for me and made me a much happier momma. I have been able to work out more and am loving working out with our new kettlebell. Adding weights and running to my workout has helped me tighten and tone up. It makes me feel more like the old me. I do miss taking pre-workout drinks and stuff like that. I am really looking forward to weaning Braxton and not breastfeeding anymore. I thought I would feel more guilt about wanting to stop, but my goal was always to at least make it 6 months and now that we are at 10 months I feel like I’ve accomplished that. I am working with Braxton to drink more from a straw cup and trying to drop feedings slowly so that by the time he is a year old I can stop breastfeeding completely and have my body back to myself! We will probably start trying for baby #2 when Braxton is closer to 2 years old so it would be nice to have my body to myself for a year before doing it all over again!

(Onnit 18 pound Kettlebell.)

(This boy loves being outside and watching other kids on the playground!)

Braxton is my biggest joy and I am so blessed to be his momma. It’s the hardest but most rewarding job I’ve ever had. I can’t wait to see what this next month brings. I’m looking forward to his first Easter, taking his 1 year pictures, and seeing if he likes cake as much as his momma does. Now to really start planning and pinteresting for his big 1 year bash! The countdown has started for me!

(Who says we have to grow up?)
