With Braxton’s first birthday coming up in 2 weeks, it’s making me realize how blessed our little family of three is. I love looking back at pictures and memories. Here’s a look at his baby shower that my sweet sister and best friends threw us a year ago when we were preparing to welcome him into the world! (And if anyone needs any baby shower inspiration…these are great ideas. They did an awesome job!)

(All photos courtesy of Thomas Chen Photography. Click the link to check out more of his photos, or to contact him about setting up a photoshoot for you! He’s located in Houston, but he comes to Austin a lot.)

(Such a cute idea and cool looking back on this now since he ended up wearing these a ton the first 3 months of his life.)

(Loved this idea too. Luckily Uncle Thomas and Aunt Dawn bought us one of these camera’s for Christmas so we’ll be able to do it again at his birthday party! I’d love for Braxton to have tons of pictures and messages from everyone who loves him for when he gets older. Camera: Fujifilm Instax.)

(Loved this beautiful cake! It’s from South Austin Cakes.)

(My beautiful mom filling up the punch. It was alcoholic so I never even got to taste it. Sad.)

(This was also a cute idea that the girls had! I love that people decorated baby blocks for Braxton. Braxton loves playing with them now, and I love looking at them and seeing our friends personalities represented in them.)

(Opening presents for our soon-to-be son was so fun. This picture makes me laugh because Braxton’s love for all things Disney was somehow known before he was even born. His collection has grown to include a giant Mickey Mouse thanks to our Cousin Amy & Kelly.)

(My best friends who helped throw the beautiful shower. One traveled from Fort Worth and another even traveled from Big Bend. Who else can say they have friends that devoted? And luckily the other one lives in town so she got to be there for the birth!)

(My sweet sister who did so much to make it all possible. She’s also helping a ton to put together Braxton’s birthday party. I’m lucky to have such a selfless sister.)

(One of my favorite pictures! I love that Thomas caught this adorable moment when little miss Helen was telling Thomas and Dawn’s dog “NO!”)

(We had a fun sleepover that night which brought back fun memories from college. A year later, we now have 3 extra kiddos in our tight knit group, and I can’t wait to see them grow up! I’m sure the numbers will continue to grow as the years pass as well.)

I loved that so many of our friends and family came to the baby shower and some even traveled from out of town to be here for us. I’m excited that so many people are doing it again for his 1st birthday party! It’ll be exciting to see everyone again, and this time Braxton will get to party with us! I’ve got all the decorations ready, and planning out the snacks and cake. Now to super clean the house! (Which is more difficult now with an almost toddler following me around undoing everything I do…) Can’t wait! Feel free to wear any Disney gear you might have!
